These Terms & Conditions govern the Barry Patel campaign website, mobile messaging program, email notifications, and political contributions operated or received by BARRY PATEL FOR MAYOR OF SOUTH PADR (the “Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Mobile Messaging Terms
1. Program Description
The Campaign sends recurring automated text messages containing campaign updates, event and volunteer invitations, and voting reminders. Donations will not be solicited by text message.
2. Consent
You opt in by providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on the Campaign’s website form. By checking that box and submitting the form, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from the Campaign at the number you provided.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase or participation. The SMS consent checkbox is optional and starts unchecked. Providing your phone number without checking the SMS consent checkbox does not enroll you in the mobile messaging program.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a U.S. resident to participate in the mobile messaging program. You must be the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile number you provide.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider for details about your messaging and data plan.
6. Opt-Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any Campaign text message. You will receive one final confirmation of your opt-out, after which no further messages will be sent through the program.

8. Privacy and Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. SMS opt-in will not be sold, rented, or shared.

9. Supported Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and most other U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier support may change, and service may not be available on every carrier or device.
10. Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email Notifications
If you provide your email address or subscribe to campaign emails, you authorize the Campaign to send you campaign updates, event and volunteer invitations, voting reminders, fundraising messages, and administrative messages. Email frequency varies. Email consent is voluntary and is not a condition of making a purchase or contribution or participating in the Campaign.
You may unsubscribe from promotional campaign emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting contact@barrypatel.com. We will honor opt-out requests and may retain the minimum information needed to maintain our suppression list. We may still respond to a specific request or send a message confirming your subscription preferences.
Campaign emails will identify the Campaign and include the Campaign’s mailing address and a method to unsubscribe. You are responsible for providing an email address that you are authorized to use.
Political Contributions
Contributions made through this website are political contributions to BARRY PATEL FOR MAYOR OF SOUTH PADR. They are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
By making a contribution, you certify that the contribution is made from your own funds, is made in your own name, and was not provided or reimbursed by another person or entity; the contributor information you provide is complete and accurate; if you are an individual, you are a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident and are not making the contribution on behalf of a foreign national; and the contribution is not made from corporate, labor-organization, or other funds prohibited by applicable law.
Texas law prohibits making or accepting an unlawful political contribution and restricts contributions made in another person’s name. The Campaign may request additional information and may decline, refund, redesignate, or otherwise handle a contribution as permitted or required by Texas, federal, and applicable local law.
Contributor Information and Public Reporting
Campaign-finance law may require the Campaign to collect, maintain, and publicly report contributor information, including a contributor’s full name and address and the amount and date of a contribution. Campaign-finance reports may become public records.
Texas disclosure: To comply with state law, certain candidates, officeholders, or political committees must use best efforts to obtain, maintain, and report the full name and address, principal occupation or job title, and full name of employer of individuals whose contributions equal or exceed $500 in a reporting period.
You agree to provide accurate contributor information and to notify the Campaign if information submitted with a contribution is incorrect. The Campaign will retain contribution records for the periods required by law.
Contribution Processing and Refunds
The Campaign may use a third-party payment processor to process contributions. Processing a payment does not guarantee that the Campaign will accept the contribution. Contact contact@barrypatel.com or call (956) 407-8925 with contribution questions.

We may update these Terms & Conditions by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above.
