About Barry

A Neighbor, Not a Politician

For the past 35 years, Barry Patel has lived and done business on South Padre Island. He built a business here, and spent six years on City Council doing the unglamorous work, budgets, drainage, staffing, permits.

He isn’t running for the title. He’s running because the Island’s problems are solvable, and because showing up is the most important part of the job.
